One of the biggest jobs of a quit smoking app is reinforcing progress, especially during the first few weeks, when motivation is fragile.

In Quit It, I try to do that in three ways:

  • Health milestones based on published smoking cessation timelines
  • A live smoke-free timer
  • Shareable progress cards

Over the last month, 101 users viewed a shareable card and 13 chose to share it.

Also, while health milestones are very informative, they can be quite forgettable. You'd unlock one... and nothing really happened.

And I think I managed to fix both in just one move: a celebration moment that greets you when you unlock a new milestone in your journey.

Two disconnected features -> one connected experience
