I got rejected by Apple 6 times! ❌

This is the second time I’ve submitted, so I was confident that I would get it right faster… but I was clearly wrong.

Here’s a list of things that I missed, so make sure you don’t miss them too:

• Make sure to sign the paid apps agreement if you’re running a subscription on v1. The paywall doesn’t work until you do.

• If there are paywall issues, you will need to resubmit, even if it’s going through RC where paywall changes don’t need a new app binary

• If you’re reading user contacts, don’t forget to limit the data you’re reading and discard it as soon as possible. In my case, the problem was that I was reading all of the contacts, even if the user had selected limited access 🤦‍♂️

• if you’re inviting users to a shared space where invitation is via email, make sure the wording doesn’t resemble marketing, otherwise it will get flagged for reading user data without consent

• If you have subscriptions that block the app usage, aka hard paywall, provide the reviewers with accounts that are subscribed already AND with an account with expired subscription…. Cause why not? 🫠
